Yes you can; by releasing the bolt and wing nuts. Warning: It is dangerous to use the DIY tower without the base bars unless you tie the tower to something rigid or use outriggers.

Yes, the two bottom base bars may need to be removed.

Strictly speaking, no. But having two or four outriggers will give a bigger footprint and make the tower feel more secure. In addition, the outriggers can give extra adjustments to uneven ground. Especially in garden use.

Yes, you can buy a 2m extension pack. Please see eDIY Tower Accessories for the extension pack.

The extension pack has almost as much material as a tower. The pack includes an extra platform, 4 telescopic outriggers and the corresponding extension frames, horizontal braces, and diagonal braces.

The platform only requires 2 points of contact, one at each end, for a solid connection to the tower. They are required to hold the platform in position and avoid external forces from lifting the platform free.

I bought the scaffold so I could paint the exterior of my house. I have two high gables so thought it better to buy rather than hire. The right decision! I will also be able to use the tower when I trim my garden hedges and bushes.
Perfect for the job. I can recommend the scaffold to any budding DIYer. It’s robust and easy to use. Also feels very sturdy when I was at the highest.
Speedy delivery.
Thanks

Very pleased with my tower, it is well engineered and should last for years to come. It was delivered within 24 hours of placing my order. Interaction with customers services was a joy and hopefully I will be returning to purchase other items from the accessories section as and when required.

A very well designed scaffold tower and easy to use although the instructions for making it up could’ve been easier otherwise I am very happy with my purchase
