Can I build a tower higher than 7M (working height)?(Domestic towers)
Yes, our eDIY and MDIY towers can reach a maximum working height of 7.15m (23’5″) and our SUPER DIY has a maximum working height of 9.35m (30’9″). For anything taller please see our Trade King and Loyal Industrial towers.
Do I need a certified tower?
The Working at Height Regulations apply to all businesses, a tower certified to EN1004-1:2020 Class 3 Standard will satisfy the WAHR and HSE. Only our Loyal Industrial Towers and Trade King Towers have full certification. At present, WAHR do not apply for private home/domestic use. So, the eDIY, MDIY and Super DIY towers do not need certification and are only suitable for private home/domestic use.
What is the difference between working height, tower height and platform height?
The Platform height is how far you are standing off the floor, that is, distance between the ground and the upper platform board. The Tower height is the physical height of the tower itself, that is, distance between the ground and the top rail. The working height is how high you can reach when you are standing on the platform. It is a common practice that working height is platform height plus 2 metres. Please see Height Specification for a handy diagram below.
Can I fit a domestic tower in a car?
Super DIY 4 to 7 will fit into most hatchbacks with its 1m framed design. eDIY range and Super DIY 8/9 will fit into most estate cars. Please check the packing size details in the specification table on the product pages and your car load space before ordering.
How do I offset frames for use on a slope?(Domestic towers)

Can I use the scaffold tower outside?
Yes, but not in windy conditions. The maximum platform height for outdoor use is 8m. It is strongly recommended to tie the tower to a rigid structure when the platform height is above 8m and/or if the wind is strong enough to move large branches on trees. Please see page 4 of our Industrial Tower Instruction Manual for guidance on wind speed safety rules.
